For a clear understanding of this policy, the expression:

a) “Renties” refers to employees, interns, apprentices and internal third parties during the term of their agreement with Rentcars.

b) “Suppliers” refers to all service providers who have an active agreement with Rentcars.

c) “Partners” refers to all affiliates and agents who have an active agreement with Rentcars.

1. DESCRIPTION

Rentcars is a company that values diversity and aims to connect people all over the world. Our reach includes thousands of people from different cultures, values and customs.

We have a strong commitment to inclusion and respect. We want to build an environment where anyone feels welcomed and respected, regardless of nationality, age, marital status, physical or intellectual limitation, race, ethnicity, belief, gender, sexual orientation or politics.

We want to promote empathy and understanding to end all illegal forms of polarization, discrimination and intolerance in our relationships, going beyond mere compliance.

2. PURPOSE

Promote and maintain a work environment where anyone feels welcomed and respected, regardless of nationality, age, marital status, physical or intellectual limitation, race, ethnicity, belief, religion, gender, sexual or political orientation.

3. SCOPE

This policy applies to our team in its internal relations, and also in all external relations, such as business partners, suppliers and customers. Everyone who is part of the Rentcars team, even indirectly, must do their part to maintain a healthy and respectful environment, so that any conduct that may offend someone is prohibited.

The company does not allow any kind of discrimination of treatment and will strictly punish any discriminatory practice.

4. LIABILITIES

It is strictly forbidden for any and all Renties, Suppliers and Partners to conduct homophobic, disrespectful, discriminatory, abusive and/or offensive speech. Or even perform, in any way, a discriminatory act aimed at psychological, verbal or physical violence.

    4.1. In particular, it is strictly forbidden for Talent managers and teams to:

  • Disregard candidates based on race, color, ethnicity, nationality, religion, sexual orientation, gender, marital status or other discriminatory manner.
  • Refuse an applicant based on age, marital status, race, ethnicity, belief, gender, sexual orientation, politics or other discriminatory manner.
  • Impose any different terms and conditions based on age, marital status, physical or intellectual limitation, race, ethnicity, belief, gender, sexual orientation, politics, or other discriminatory manner.
  • Posting job openings that discourage or indicate a preference for or against any candidate due to nationality, age, marital status, physical or intellectual limitation, race, ethnicity, belief, religion, gender, sexual orientation, politics or other discriminatory manner.
  • 4.2. It is strictly forbidden for Renties, especially business and service areas:

  • Refuse to rent a vehicle based on nationality, age, marital status, physical or intellectual limitation, race, ethnicity, belief, religion, gender, sexual orientation, politics or other discriminatory manner.
  • Impose any different terms and conditions based on age, marital status, physical or intellectual limitation, race, ethnicity, belief, gender, sexual orientation, politics, or other discriminatory manner.
  • Manipulate a service or negotiation in a way that prevails their individual interest, to the detriment of physical, cultural differences and manner.
5. Policy Violation

Failure to observe the conduct imposed by this anti-discrimination policy will result in the application of a disciplinary penalty, and/or judicial measure, according to the severity of the conduct, and may even result in termination for just cause of the employment contract, service provision or partnership.

6. GENERAL REMARKS
    6.1. About Inclusion

    For the purpose of this policy, afirmative and inclusive conduct should be considered as a means to include individuals who suffer in some way from discrimination, as well as to censure acts that are unwanted and disapproved of by the company.

    6.2. About Respect

    It is of paramount importance that everyone understands the benefits of respectful behaviors for a healthy and safe work environment. Respect for others has great relevance, if not the greatest, among the other behaviors intended by this policy.

    Respect guarantees everyone equality and well-being within the work environment and in relations with society.

    6.3. Legal Anti-Discrimination Criteria

    The conduct provided for herein has an anti-discriminatory social nature and a right to society. They should be understood as those that fight any and all forms of discrimination through abuse of power, practice of physical, psychological or verbal violence, prejudice, among others.

    Upon reading this policy, and signing the Agreement with Rentcars, you are agreeing to comply with the foregoing provisions, so that you undertake to make no effort to strengthen our relationships and put into practice all our values, which include, in particular, being ethical and open-minded.
