Chicago: Metropolis of the Midwest
With your car rental, you'll be able to explore the various attractions of the Second City. Use your rental car to navigate through Chicago's traffic and get to know the city better, or travel a bit outside the city to some of the surrounding suburbs.
Take in Chicago's Sights
Millennium Park features nearly 25 acres of grassy space, a video display, an outdoor theater and the famous "Bean" sculpture. If you're in town during the winter, strap on your skates and head to the park's ice rink.
Another notable sightseeing destination is Navy Pier. There, you can enjoy carnival rides, eat at the restaurants, browse in the shops and watch the fireworks displays. Navy Pier is more than 3,000 feet long and located on the Chicago shoreline nearest Lake Michigan in the Streeterville neighborhood.
Indulge in Culture
Hop into your rental car and head on over to the Art Institute of Chicago when you're in the mood for a bit of culture. This museum houses more than 300,000 permanent works of art. One of the most notable attractions at the Art Institute is George Seurat's iconic painting A Sunday on La Grande Jatte, located on the second floor of the museum.
Just a short 15-minute drive from the Art Institute is the Field Museum that houses the biological and anthropological collections that were put together for the World's Columbian Exposition in 1893. Here, you can see everything from ancient mummies to dinosaur skeletons and rare jewels.
Beautiful Views
Hugging the main branch of the Chicago River and flowing down alongside some of Chicago's most popular restaurants, bars and attractions is the Riverwalk. Take a stroll along the Riverwalk to witness some of Chicago's famous architecture.
Then, hop in your car rental and work your way for about 10 minutes to the Willis Tower where you can see breathtaking views of the city from the 110-story skyscraper.
