1. Rentcars.com Best Price Guarantee applies only to vehicles booked directly on the Rentcars.com website. This guarantee does not apply to reservations made on third-party websites.
2. Rentcars.com shall only validate best price guarantee claims for rates offered on online platforms and only if your Rentcars.com reservation has been confirmed by the elected hire company (i.e. your reservation must not be undergoing availability analysis, cancellation or qualify as a no-show);
3. Best Price Guarantee claims must be submitted by no later than 24 hours of receiving confirmation of your booking from Rentcars.com.
4. Rentcars.com´s Best Price Guarantee shall only be applicable upon confirmation of lower rates for an identical booking available in another online booking platform. The Best Price Guarantee claim must be submitted by no later than 24 hours after confirmation of your booking by Rentcars.com. Screenshots shall not be accepted as proof of lower rates available on other websites. Rentcars.com will check whether the informed rates are still available for new reservations before your request is approved.
5. Lower rates must be for an identical booking including: same vehicle category, car hire company, hire period, insurance/coverage conditions, optional services, administrative fees as well as other booking conditions (payment policy, cancellation policy, etc.). Rentcars.com will not consider offers with “hidden” fees for which it is impossible to confirm the actual rate until due payment is processed, those in which the name of the hire company is not disclosed until due payment is processed, and/or offers charging pre-purchase fees.
6. The lower rate offer must be available for payment in the same currency as the Rentcars.com reservation or in the same currency charged by the car hire company.
7. Upon receiving the Best Price Guarantee claim form, Rentcars.com shall have up to 3 business days to analyse the request (except for requests received on Saturdays, Sundays and national holidays). Claims will only be approved for offers that comply with all specifications set out in these Terms and Conditions.
8. Best Price Guarantee claims for bookings with a pick-up date in fewer than 3 business days won´t be accepted.
9. Rentcars.com also reviews claims for reservations that cannot be cancelled or require prepayment. If your claim is granted, we will refund the respective rate difference within the allotted time set out in item 12 hereof.
10. Rentcars.com only accepts one Best Price Guarantee claim per reservation. Any subsequent claims for the same reservation will be disregarded.
11. Once your Best Price Guarantee claim has been approved and your hire agreement has matured, Rentcars.com will refund the rate difference via a wire transfer. Rentcars.com will contact the car hire company to verify whether or not the hire agreement was altered as well as to verify if any dates were cancelled. If Rentcars.com is unable to verify whether the reservation was fully redeemed, the renter must submit the rental´s receipt to Rentcars.com as proof of due booking completion. Rentcars.com may request additional information before transferring refund amounts.
12. Rentcars.com shall employ its best efforts to refund customers within 30 days of receiving the hire completion receipt.
13. The maximum amount to be refunded may not exceed the total amount of the original Rentcars.com reservation. The amount to be refunded shall be the difference between the Rentcars.com rate and the lowest rate found.
14. Your booking payment and cancellation policies and conditions shall remain in full effect regardless of whether Best Price Guarantee claims are granted or rejected.
15. The Best Price Guarantee does not apply to vehicles hired by way of corporate rates, associations, collective purchases, special discount rates, adhesion fees, frequent use discounts, loyalty points, discount coupons or other “reward” programs, or special promotions offered by the car hire company, as well as packages involving other products and services. Requested rates must also be available to the general public.
16. Certain car hire companies may offer location-based rates and deals. Therefore, this Best Price Guarantee applies only to prices both advertised and available to the general public of the country where the claimer resides, as a whole.
17. Employees of hire companies established as Rentcars.com partners (as well as their respective family members and/or persons residing in the same location) are not eligible for the Best Price Guarantee program.
18. Rentcars.com reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions and/or remove the Best Price Guarantee offer at any time and without any prior notice while honouring all requests submitted during its effective term.
19. Rentcars.com may, at their sole discretion, approve or reject refund eligibility as well as the validity of the Best Price Guarantee claim based on the regulations set out herein. Unforeseen circumstances shall be settled exclusively by Rentcars.com.
20. Rentcars.com may not be held liable for the payment of any refunds under the Best Price Guarantee promise if the rates posted on the compared website or online platform contain typographical, administrative or technical errors.
21. In case of any dispute regarding the Best Price Guarantee offer and/or any subsequent claims, Rentcars.com’s decision shall be deemed final and binding to all parties involved.
