  • What documents do I need to rent a car?

      Each driver must present the following documents: 
      • Driver’s license: a full, valid and original national license, held for a minimum of 2 years.

      • Photo ID: a valid and original photo ID document.

      • Passport: a valid and original passport.

      • International credit card: a valid and personal credit card issued by a banking institution and with enough funds to block the security deposit


    • What is the minimum age requirement to rent a car?

      The minimum age requirement for renting a car in Brazil is 21. Some car rental companies allow under 21 drivers, but they might charge you an additional fee.


    • Can I rent a car without a credit card?

      No. At the counter, you will be required to present a valid and personal credit card (issued by a banking institution) with enough funds to block the security deposit. 


      Some car rental companies in Brazil might accept a financial sponsor and this is subject to an additional fee.


    • What documents should I present at the counter to pick-up my car?

      Each driver must present: 

      • Driver’s license: a full, valid and original national license, held for a minimum of 2 years.

      All Rentcars.com rates will normally include: 

      • The total number of days, from the moment the rental agreement is signed

      • Any service fees charged by the rental company.


      Most rental companies offer additional services, insurance coverage and accessories at the counter. 

      We recommend reviewing all services and rates listed in the rental agreement carefully before signing it.


    • Does Rentcars.com charge a booking fee?

      No. All service fees (local taxes, airport surcharges, etc.) included in our rates are charged by the rental company.

    • Can I return the car at a different location?

      Yes, you can. If you want to return the car at a different location you must first check if the rental company operates at the desired location. 


      The rental company might charge you a return fee to cover the distance that the car will travel to be returned to its original pick-up location.


    • Can I rent a specific vehicle model?

      Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee you a particular rental car model as this will depend on availability. Rental companies work with groups of cars, which are composed of similar car models and configuration. When you make a reservation, you pick a group of cars, not a particular car maker or model. 

    • Can I book a GPS unit in advance?

      Yes, rental companies offer GPS units as an optional item that can be included in your reservation request.


    • Can I rent a child or baby seat with my rental car?

      Yes, you can select a child or baby seat during your booking process. If they don't show up in the reservation flow, you can certainly ask for them at the rental counter when you pick up the car.


    • How do I know if my booking has been confirmed?

      After completing your reservation request, you will receive an email with all the details of your request. Once your reservation is confirmed, you will be notified by email. Alternatively, you can follow your booking confirmation process directly on our website.

    • I haven’t received the confirmation email. What should I do?

      Please check your email Inbox, as well as the Spam folder for the confirmation email. You may also follow the status of your reservation directly on the Rentcars.com website. 


      Just log in with your ID and password and click the ‘My Booking’ button at the top of the page to view your bookings. If you require further assistance, please contact us.

    • Do I have to leave a deposit to confirm my reservation?

      Yes, you might have to, especially during the holidays season. Due to a high demand for rental cars over this period, some rental companies might require a deposit to confirm your reservation. 

      This is a way to ensure that the confirmed reservation will be put to use. If you change your mind about your reservation and need to be reimbursed, please contact the rental company directly.


      Please note that this is something different than the security deposit amount you are required to block on your credit card when you collect the car.

    • I received an email requesting additional information to confirm my reservation. Is this an authentic email?

      Yes. Some rental companies perform this extra step of verification to ensure that the confirmed reservation will be put to use. Please reply to the email providing the information required within the established deadline.


      Important: Rentcars.com guarantees complete confidentiality of your personal information. We will NEVER request your credit card information via telephone, email or live chat. For your own safety, online payment transactions are only processed on our secure and encrypted environment.

    • Can I cancel or change my reservation?

      Yes. If you want to change or cancel your reservation just  log in with your ID and password and click the "My Booking" button at the top of the page. You can view all your reservations at once in the client section. Simply click the ‘View Details’ button next to the reservation you want to edit.


      Important information: 

      • Please read the cancellation and change policy in the confirmation voucher before making your changes. 
      • Reservation changes are subject to a new availability check which might lead to rate increases.

      In case pre payd bookings (online payment) and partial pre payment rate, an amount of 5% of the total booking pre paid value will be retained for administrative expenses.
    • How can I pay for my reservation?

      Payment conditions are defined by the rate typeA reservation can either be: 

      1. Prepaid in full.
      2. Partially prepaid, or 
      3. Payable at the counter upon collecting the car.

       

      For your own safety, credit card online payment transactions (prepaid) are only processed on our secure and encrypted environment.

    • What happens if my flight is delayed or cancelled?

      If your flight is delayed or cancelled, please notify our support team as soon as possible. 


      If you have already provided us with your flight details during your booking process, the car rental company will be able to track your flight and may hold the car for up to an hour.


      Rentcars.com accepts no responsibility for, and shall not be liable in respect of any loss, damage or changes to your plans caused by flight delays or cancellations.

    • What are the Shuttle Bus and Car Delivery services for?

      Most rental companies not located in airport terminals offer shuttle bus and delivery services from the terminal to their nearby airport location.

      • Shuttle Bus: An employee will meet you at the arrivals area and transport you by shuttle bus to the car facility to sign the rental agreement and pick up your vehicle.
      • Car Delivery: An employee will meet you at the arrivals area to sign the rental agreement and deliver your vehicle.
    • Why do I need to sign an agreement at the rental counter?

      As a rental agent broker, any bookings made through Rentcars.com are subject to our own terms and conditions. However, the rental of your vehicle will be subject to the laws of the country in which it is supplied to you. 


      For this reason, you will be required to sign a rental contract with the rental company when you collect the car. Please be sure to understand and agree to the terms and conditions of that contract before signing it.


    • What is the security deposit for?

      When collecting the car, you will be required to leave a security deposit. This amount will be blocked on the main driver's credit card and will be held for the duration of the rental. The deposit ensures that you can cover any damage to the vehicle or equipment and it’s standard practice with all car rental companies worldwide. Provided the car is returned in accordance, the deposit will be refunded to you.


      The deposit amount is determined by the rental supplier and it will be specified in the rental agreement.  Please always contact the rental supplier directly to confirm this information.


      Please note that it can take up to 7 working days for the deposit to be released after the rental is completed.


    • What about "extras" charges?

      Rentcars.com provides mostly inclusive rates, but certain fees are only payable at the car rental counter. Optional services, as well as any mandatory local charges, are commonly charged by the rental company on signing the rental agreement. 


      Your rental documentation should clearly show any new charges not covered in your original rate. Please ensure that you understand and accepts all charges before signing the agreement.


    • Can someone else drive the vehicle?

      Only the main driver can drive the rental car unless another person is included as an additional driver in the booking. Additional drivers must fulfill the same requirements as the original driver. Additional fees may apply.

    • Should I inspect the condition of my rental car?

      Yes, definitely. Before you leave the rental location, check the car’s dashboard, headlights, windshield wipers, locks, spare tire, jack, etc. 


      All items should all be working as expected. Take notes of any scratches, dents, etc. and report them to the agent before you leave.


    • Should I return the car with a full tank?

      Most cars are delivered to customers with a full tank and should be returned refueled. You might be charged for any quantity of missing fuel by the rental company if you fail to return the car with a full tank. 


      The fuel policy will be displayed on your booking confirmation voucher and on the rental agreement at the car rental counter. If you rate includes fuel, you won’t be refunded for remaining gallons / liters left when you return the car. 

    • What should I do if my rental car breaks down?

      If your car breaks down you must call the rental company immediately. Only the rental staff can arrange for a replacement car or repairs, if applicable.

    • What should I do if I’m involved in an accident?

      In case of an accident or incident, you must contact the car rental company immediately and follow their instructions. 


      Please remember to keep copies of all relevant documentation you are asked to complete in case you need to file an insurance claim in the future. You will also be required to present a police report to the rental company.  


    • What is “Carta Verde”?

      "Carta Verde" (or "Green Slip", in a free translation) is a mandatory insurance coverage available to customers traveling by car from Brazil to other Mercosul countries (Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and Venezuela).


      Not all rental companies are allowed to issue this insurance. You must check with the company of your choice if they can issue this document if your travel plans include crossing the borders of the afore mentioned countries.


      You must also check if the coverage and protections included in this insurance are valid also in the countries you will be driving to.

    • What happens if I don’t return the car on time?

      If you fail to return the car by the time specified in the rental agreement, you will be charged for another day (at the counter’s rate). If you wish to extend your rental period you should contact the rental company directly to make the change.


    • What happens if I return the car before the end date of my rental agreement?

      If you return the car before the end period of your agreement, your total service costs will be recalculated so that you only pay for the period you’ve used the car. 


      Please note that by reducing your rental period your daily rate price might increase if you were on a special weekly, fortnightly, or monthly deal rate.


      In some cases, it's recommended to stick to the original rental period to avoid additional charges. Please check all applicable conditions with the rental company in advance before changing your plans.

    • What about insurance?

      Rental companies offer a wide range of insurance options, including coverage against damages to the vehicle (accidental or theft), personal accidents, third-party, etc. 


      The type of cover linked to your reservation will depend on the rate, pick-up location, and the rental company you've chosen. Insurance information will be clearly shown throughout the reservation process, as well as in the booking confirmation voucher.

       

    • What's the difference between CDW and LDW?

      Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) and Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) are both basic vehicle protections that limit the driver’s liability in the event of accidental damage, theft, fire and loss of use. The main difference between them is that CDW comes with an excess while LDW doesn't.


      It is highly recommended to hire one of them. These protections can be mandatory to some rental companies while others might prefer to block a higher amount for the security deposit on your credit card.

    • What are ALI, PAI and TP protections for? Should I contract them with my rental?

      Additional Liability Insurance (ALI ) provides additional protection for bodily injury, death or property damage protects. It is not mandatory, but it certainly reduces the driver's liability in case of casualty significantly.

       

      Personal Accident Insurance (PAI) provides accidental death benefits and emergency medical expense benefits, including assistance and rescue to the renter and all passengers.

       

      Theft Protection (TP) limits the driver’s liability if the rental car is stolen or damaged due to a theft attempt. However, the renter will have to pay an excess towards these costs, as per the rental agreement. TP does not cover personal belongings. 

    • Are there any items not covered by insurance?

      Yes, insurance policies normally exclude items such as tires, windscreens, wheels, undercarriage damage (caused by off-road driving), interior, personal belongings, loss of car registration documents, as well as damages caused by floods or other natural phenomena.


      The list of excluded items may vary from company to company so please check all covers you are entitled to when you collect the car.

    • What is an excess?

      An excess is an amount that you will be liable for in case of accidental damage caused to the rental car. It may be possible to reduce the excess by purchasing additional coverage from the car rental company at their counter. 

    • Can I request a receipt or invoice of my rental?

      Rentcars.com does not issue any receipts or invoices regarding your rental. You must ask the rental car company to provide you such documents.

    Car Rental Requirements

    • What is the minimum age to rent a car?


      The minimum age established by most rental companies is 25 years. In Brazil, 21 is the minimum driving age established by rental companies.

      Also in Brazil some rental companies will allow people under 21 to rent a car but will ask for an additional fee to do so. If you are under 21 and interested in renting a vehicle or if you are in doubt, you can contact our Booking Center and we will give you all the necessary information regarding conditions and rates for your rental selection.


       

    • What are the requirements to rent a car?

      You must have 25 years of age or older, have a driver’s license with a minimum 2 year validity, have a national passport and have an international credit card that allows for a safety deposit hold and that has been issued under your name by a banking institution. It is also important to have an International Driver’s License depending on country legislation.


      Important: carry with you a printed version of the Booking Confirmation Document. Third party credit cards, or credit cards that are not issued by banking institutions will not be accepted. The rental company is solely responsible for the approval of the credit card.

       

    • What are the requirements when renting a car in Brazil?

      The minimum age requirement is 21, valid drivers license (with a minimum 2 year validity), national passport and a credit card under the booking holders name that allows for a safety deposit hold.


      Important: The person responsible for the booking will have to present a valid credit card that is under his or her name, issued by a banking institution and must allow for a safety deposit hold. Third party credit cards, as well as credit cards that are not issued by banking institutions will not be accepted. The rental company is solely responsible for the approval of the credit card.

    • Can I rent a car if I don’t have a credit card?

      When you pick up your vehicle in the rental company it is mandatory that you present a valid credit card under your name, issued by a banking institution and with sufficient limit available for the safety deposit hold.

      For an additional fee, some rental companies have the option to include a Financially Responsible Person in your rental contract in the form of an additional driver. They will have to present a credit card under their name. The terms and conditions that apply to the primary driver will also apply to the Financially Responsible Person.

       

      The option to include a Financially Responsible Person will be selectable in the booking process as long as the chosen rental company makes it available. If you prefer, you can contact our Booking Center, we are happy to help. 

    • What are the necessary documents I must show to pick up my vehicle?

      Minimum age requirement 21, valid drivers license (with a minimum 2 year validity), national passport and a credit card under the booking holders name that allows for a safety deposit hold.

    • Must I have the International Driver’s License to rent a car?

      The requirement for the International driver’s license varies quite a lot between countries. 


      • For an individual that lives in any country integrating the MERCOSUR bloc, his or her national driver’s license will suffice. 
      • In the United States, foreign driver’s licenses are widely accepted except in the state of Georgia, where you will need an International Driver’s License.


      In any case remember to always carry a form of identification with you.

    About Car Rental Insurance

    • How does the insurance coverage work?

      Rental companies work with insurance that includes coverage against damage to the vehicle, its occupants and third parties.

      The most commonly available insurance coverage for car rental:


      • LDW and CDW: coverage against damage, theft and vehicle breakdown.
      • TP: coverage against vehicle theft.
      • ALI: coverage against third party material and personal damage.
      • PAI: coverage against damage, medical expenses, road assistance and rescues.

      All Rentcars.com rates include basic insurance coverage (LDW/CDW). Optional coverage can be added to your reservation through the Rentcars.com website or directly at the rental shop’s counter.       The Booking Confirmation Voucher contains the description of all the insurance coverage included in your contracted service package. On the day you pick up your vehicle, check conditions as well as the details of the sum you are being charged before signing the contract.

       

      In case of a mishap while you are enjoying your rental, you should follow the procedure established by the rental company for such cases. Common practice includes, presenting an incident report/police report and filling in the rental company’s accident form within 24h of the incident, amongst others.

    • What is excess insurance?

      Car hire excess insurance is an insurance policy, which protects you against any excess charges you may incur should your rental car become damaged or stolen.


    • What are the limits for excess insurance?

      Excess limits vary between rental companies, the type of insurance contracted and the type of rental vehicle. You can check approximate values of your insurance excess during the booking process at Rentcars.com. It is important to also check all insurance values and details when you sign your rental contract.


    • Are any of the items not covered by the insurance?

      Yes, normally rental companies do not offer insurance for items such as: Extras, tires, rims, suspension damaged by potholes or curbs, dents and scratches and cracks on the windshield. 

      Further to that, key or document loss and damages caused by flooding or any other form of force majeure are not covered.

       

      These elements may vary between rental companies. When you sign the rental contract and pick up your vehicle, make sure you confirm all insurance specifications.


    Payment Options

    • What are the booking payment options?


      When you rent a vehicle with Rentcars.com  you can choose between:


      • Payment at destination: pay for your whole rental when you get to your destination, directly at the rental company shop.
      • Online Payment: online payment will be done in US dollars through PayPal (a global payments platform)For more information on how PayPal works, or to open an account, please visit their Help section. 
      • Online Payment +  Payable at the counter:  Part online and part at destination (it will be done directly at the rental office in local currency when you pick up your vehicle.

       

      Important: Most rental companies do not accept physical currency as a form of payment for your rental. They do however, accept international credit cards.

      If you make your reservation on the phone, your will receive an e-mail with a link to access our payment section where you will be redirected to our PayPal page.

    • What are the booking payment options in Brazil?

      For rentals in Brazil, payment is done directly at the rental company shop, when you pick up or drop off your vehicle. There is no need to pay Rentcars.com in advance. However, some rental companies may request some form of advanced payment to guarantee your booking. Check out all information on the Payment Conditions page.

       


    • How can I get a receipt?

      Rentcars.com does not emit any type of receipt for your car rental. However, you can ask the rental company for one.


    Rates and Charges

    • How does the safety deposit work?

      When you sign the rental contract, you will have to present an international credit card under your name that allows for the safety deposit hold. The sum of the safety deposit will depend on vehicle category and rental period.

      This value will not be charged, it will only be put on hold. It constitutes a warranty for the rental company. The hold will end on request of the rental company when you return the vehicle. The time it takes for the hold to end will depend on your credit card operator.

    • Does Rentcars.com charge a booking rate?

      No, Rentcars.com does not charge a booking rate to emit your reservation. The administrative fees specified in the daily rates belong to the rental company and are composed by municipal, state, federal and airport fees.


    • What’s included in the rental fee?

      Your daily fee includes your 24 hours of vehicle rental - counted from when you sign your contract, unlimited mileage, basic insurance coverage and the rental company’s administrative fees.

      There can be exceptions where mileage is limited, so always check what services are included in your rental. Furthermore, when you sign your rental contract, you will be offered the option to add extras to your vehicle (such as GPS Navigation) - it is entirely up to you to contract them or not.


      The daily fee at some destinations depends on the pick up and drop off times established in the rental agreement. Even if your rental period does not complete 24 hours, you will be charged a 24 hour rental period equivalent. It is important to note that even if your rental period is less than 24 hours long, if you don’t show up to return the vehicle at the established time, you will be charged an additional rental period of 24 hours.
    • What should I do in case of extra charges?

      If the sum charged by the rental company is larger than what was agreed with Rentcars.com, ask the rental company to specify what the extra charges are for. It is not uncommon for rental companies to offer additional services at the counter when you sign the rental contract. These items are not obligatory for you to pick up your vehicle, the decision to contract them is entirely yours.

      Important: After your rental period, the rental company can charge on your card any toll services or traffic fines outstanding.


    Modify or Cancel a Booking

    • Can I modify or cancel my reservation through Rentcars.com?

      Yes, and it’s quite simple. You can modify or cancel your reservation through your account using your registered login and password. We recommend you attentively read the modification and cancelation conditions that figure in the booking confirmation voucher sent to your e-mail, or accesible via My Bookings in the Client Access page.


      It is important to note that all requested modifications will be subject to availability and possible price changes. Always evaluate the need to change your booking, especially during high season.


    • What should I do if I need to modify or cancel my reservation?

      You can modify or alter your reservation by accessing your account using your registered login and password. We recommend you attentively read the cancelation terms and conditions that are available in the Booking Confirmation document sent to your e-mail, or accessible on My Bookings (Customer Access). You can also request your booking be cancelled through Rentcars.com's Booking Center.


      Bookings requested with the option to pay at destination do not have a cancellation fee. International bookings with the option to pre-pay online have a cancellation fee equivalent to 5% of the total pre paid amount.

      We recommend you cancel your reservation in advance, so you can avoid no-show fees charged by the rental company.


    • Modifying reservations paid with PayPal

      Making modifications to your booking is fast and easy. You can access the Customer Access page or contact us. If the change in your booking calls for a reduction in the value you paid, rentcars.com will return the sum via PayPal. On the contrary, if your change calls for an increase in price, Rentcars.com will send you a link that will direct you to the payment page, where you will be able to pay the difference through Paypal.  


    • Cancelation of Bookings paid with PayPal

      Bookings made in partial or total prepayment mode must be canceled through Rentcars.com, not through Paypal or the rental company. 


      If you cancel your reservation through PayPal, they will have to check whether or not there exists a transaction in your name with rentcars.com. Since the booking will be active, it will be impossible for them to return the value.

      If you cancel your booking directly through Rentcars.com, we will inform PayPal of the cancelation of the transaction and the value will be reimbursed in your account without any problems.

      If you cancel your reservation before the pick up date, you will be charged a sum equivalent to 5% of the total prepaid value to cover administrative expenses. If you cancel your booking after that date, you will be charged a sum equivalent to one day of rental. 


    • No-Show - Bookings paid with PayPal

      In case a prepaid booking is not used, rentcars.com will charge a sum equivalent to the price of 01 day of rental to cover administrative expenses and will return the rest directly to the customer’s PayPal account.


      In case the client does show up at the rental shop but fails to meet the minimum established requirements (invalid driver’s license, no available limit on the credit card for the safety deposit) rentcars.com will charge a sum equivalent to 5% of the total value and will return the remaining value to the customer. In such cases, you will need a receipt from the rental company.


      Note: Car rental company Keddy has a fixed No-Show fine.


    Booking Confirmation

    • How do I know if my booking is confirmed

      After completing the booking request process, you will be able to follow the status of your order by accessing your account using your registered login and password. We will also send you a confirmation e-mail with all of your booking details.


    • The rental company requested more information to confirm my reservation. Why?

      Yes. Some brazilian rental companies perform this extra step of verification to ensure that the confirmed reservation will be put to use. Please reply to the email providing the information required within the established deadline.


      Important: Rentcars.com guarantees complete confidentiality of your personal information. We will NEVER request your credit card information via telephone, email or live chat. For your own safety, online payment transactions are only processed on our secure and encrypted environment.

    • I made my reservation but still haven’t received the confirmation e-mail. What should I do?

      The booking confirmation e-mail will be sent to the e-mail you registered during the booking request process. Please check in your inbox as well as SPAM just in case.     Optional Services and Extras

    • Can I rent a specific vehicle?

      Unfortunately, rental companies cannot guarantee a booking based on manufacturer, model, color or specifications. They operate with groups of vehicles, composed of models that are different but have the same configuration. The day when the rental contract is signed, the booking holder will choose from the available vehicles at the rental shop that fall under the vehicle group he or she booked.


    • Can someone other than the booking holder drive the vehicle?

      Yes, rental companies offer the option to include an additional driver. The person included as so is subject to the same terms and conditions as the booking holder.

      This service is charged as an Extra and the sum charged can differ between rental companies.


    • Can I include more than one additional driver?

      Yes, rental companies offer the option to include more than one additional driver. All additional drivers are subject to the same terms and conditions as the booking holder.


    • Can I rent a child booster seat or a baby seat?

      In some locations, rental companies offer the option to select this Extra on our web’s booking process. If you make your reservation on the phone through our Booking Center, make sure you request that this extra be included.

      In the locations where this Extra cannot be requested through our webpage’s booking process, you can ask the rental company on the phone or at the counter when you sign your contract.


    • Can I request a GPS Navigation System in advance?

      Yes, rental companies offer the option to include a GPS navigation device in your reservation when making a reservation through Rentcars.com. If you make your reservation on the phone through our Booking Center, make sure you request that this extra be included.


    • What is a car rental contract?

      A car rental contract is a signed agreement between the renter and rental company where the terms, conditions and policies of the rental are specified.

      Attentively read the available information in this document and clear any doubts that you might have before signing it, for its signing means you agree with its specifications.


    • What are Shuttle and Delivery services?

      Shuttle and delivery are services offered to clients by rental companies that cater to airports but do not have a rental shop inside the airport area.

      Shuttle Service: the rental company will pick the client up at the airport and take him/her to the rental shop to sign the contract and pick up the vehicle.

      Delivery Service: the rental company will deliver the rented vehicle to the client in the airport.


    Things You Need to Know When Traveling with a Rental Car

    • What should I do if my flight is delayed or before schedule?

      When booking your rental car on Rentcars.com, you can choose to inform the rental company of your flight number so that they can follow its status. At the same time, when possible, we recommend you inform the rental shop of any last minute flight changes (overbooking, flight number change, etc) to avoid any rental inconveniences. 

    • Can I travel to other countries with a rented car?

      It is not allowed to travel to other countries with a rented vehicle without prior authorization by the rental company. Check what the rules to cross borders with a rental vehicle are with the rental company

    • What should I do if the vehicle breaks down or presents any problems?

      The holder of the booking should contact the rental company directly, and, if the vehicle cannot circulate, they should request the rental company substitute the vehicle. The rental company’s contact number can be found in the booking confirmation document. For additional information contact us.


    • How does fuel policy work?

      As a standard, the vehicle is delivered with a full tank of gas and has to be returned with a full tank of gas. If the vehicle is not returned following the terms agreed in the contract, the refueling of the vehicle will be charged to the renter according to the table of prices available in the counter at the rental shop.


      If your vehicle is delivered to you using the Delivery Service, the vehicle can show a lower level of fuel. This is due to the distance between the rental shop and the airport. In such case the refueling of the vehicle will have to follow the policy established by the rental company.


      If you select a service package that includes a Full Tank, you will not have to return the vehicle with a full tank of gas. In such cases, the remaining fuel in the vehicle will not be reimbursed.



    • What happens if I’m late returning the vehicle?

      If you return the vehicle later than agreed in the contract, the extra hours of use will be accounted for and you will be charged proportionally for them. The price for extra hours of use changes between rental companies. Normally, the daily rate for the vehicle is fractioned and charged proportionally but insurance is accounted for and charged as a whole extra day.


      Contact the rental company if you plan on using the vehicle longer than agreed on in the rental contract.


    • Should I inspect my car at the rental office?

      Yes, you should absolutely participate in the vehicle inspection when you pick up and drop off your vehicle. Check out the conditions of the bodywork, the interior, technical components and vehicle accessories. A complete inspection of the vehicle ensure a hassle free rental experiences and avoid unauthorized charges.


    • Can I drive or drop off my vehicle in another city?

      If you want to drive your vehicle in another city or state, you must check with the rental company if there are any restrictions to do so. It is possible to drop off your vehicle in another destination as long as the rental company has a rental shop there and authorizes it. 


      Dropping off your vehicle in another destination entails a drop off fee. This fee is calculated proportionally to the distance between pick up and drop off destinations and the rental company’s administrative expenses. Check the price when you sign your rental contract.


    • What happens if I’m early returning the vehicle?

      If you return the vehicle earlier than agreed in the contract, the daily rates can be recalculated so that you are only charged for the period you used the vehicle. It is important to mention that in case you contracted Weekly, Biweekly or Monthly rates and return the vehicle early, the daily equivalent price can change becoming more expensive. Returning the car on the agreed day but before the agreed time will not be eligible for a recalculation of daily rates.
